THE STUNNING WATER HOLE DREAMING DESIGN BY DEAN JAKAMARA BRISCOE IS ALSO NOW AVAILABLE AS A GIANT CUSHION BEAN BAG COVER.“This painting represents all the water holes around Australia, it shows that there are many and in different sizes. The large water holes are obviously seen and if they are not dangerous you can swim in them and some are well hidden throughout the land. Aboriginal people over the years have discovered the water holes that were created and have used boulders or rocks/sticks etc to protect them and keep animals from polluting the water. The important cultural traditions and locations of the water holes were taught to the younger generations in order to survive on the land and respect it, so when the people went hunting they would know where and how to find water. The round symbols are the water holes and the coloured dots represent the Aboriginal flag and the land formations.” Dean Jakamara Briscoe

Fill them with your choice of recyclable materials – scrunched up newspaper, old clothing, or clean rags. Or try stuffing the cover with some of your children’s toys that you can’t bear to throw away but need to store somewhere out of sight. We also recommend using BioFoam as a sustainable filling. BioFoam can be completely biodegraded, composted or used for feedstock for recycling, as the basic material is a biopolymer made out of plants.

They are manufactured from polyester canvas and are easy to clean and maintain. Simply spot clean the cushion cover with a slightly damp cloth, or place it (cover only) into the wash on a gentle cycle. Hang it on the line to dry.

This giant cushion bean bag can be paired with one of our standard size cushion covers too.

Please note that purchase is for giant cushion cover only. Front of covers are patterned; backs are plain.

Giant cushion covers come unfilled. Fill with BioFoam, used clothing or soft toys for a sustainable alternative. Made in China
